10h15: Start - Jnr (14 - 15) 400/10/2.5 (M + F) (1 hour)
11h15: Prize giving age group athletes (45 minutes)
12h00: Start - Jnr (16 - 19), 750/20/5 (M + F) (1,5hours)
13h30: Start - Snr Elite and U/23 Elite, Olympic distance (M + F) (2 Hours 30 min)
16h30: Medal ceremony for Elites & U23
AGE CATEGORIES
For the age group and AWAD race, the athlete's category will be determined by his/her age as on 31 December 2010.
Juniors aged 18-19 will be allowed to compete in the olympic distance.
Juniors aged 14-15 will be allowed to complete in the Junior half-standard race on the Sunday.
PRIZE MONEY
Elite (incl U/23 Elite) Category (R70 000)
1st - R10 500
2nd - R 8 750
3rd - R 6 300
4th - R 5 250
5th - R 4 200
If less than 10 athletes compete, only 1 – 4th eligible for prize money.
If less than 7 athletes compete, only 1 – 3rd eligible for prize money.
Junior Category (16 – 19) (R10 000)
1st - R 2 500
2nd - R 1 500
3rd - R 1 000
If less than 7 athletes compete, only 1st and 2nd eligible for prize money.
CONTINENTAL AND INTERNATIONAL ATHLETES
Continental and international athletes are to enter through their respective federation on the ITU Entry System as well as this website.
RACE KIT
All kit must comply with ITU regulations or be completely unbranded.
